Silicone Oven Mitts Review

I had the opportunity to use a pair of Kuuk silicone oven mitts recently. This was new to me as I have heard much about silicone. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and comfortable it was to use these mitts. I have always used cloth in the past so this was a different experience. These mitts are much lighter than cloth but very durable and completely protected my hands. The liner is made of cotton and polyester and is quite comfortable.

They only come in 1 size and my hands are quite medium sized. They fit my hands fine with plenty of room to spare. Perhaps the only type of person who would find them difficult to fit would someone with very small hands. They would clearly fit hands larger than mine. 

I have wondered whether silicone is safe.  My conclusion after some research is that it is perfectly safe in oven mitts.  I am not yet convinced about whether I want to use silicone baking pans. But since I am not eating the oven mitts and not baking in them, I see no reason to avoid oven mitts made out of silicone. (Wellness Mama)

My only negative on these oven mitts? I am not crazy about the grey color and would have chosen another color if that had been an option. There does seem to be a green option at Amazon but I would have wanted a blue or red or yellow. Perhaps in time those will be options.
