I struggled with 50 extra pounds for the past 19 years (since my first pregnancy). With the practice of intermittent fasting and a change to a low carb, high fat diet I have lost 40 lbs in 2016, lost 5 more in 2017, and perhaps more significant, I have kept it off and lowered my insulin resistance.

I now host an ongoing challenge, which you can join at any time. Sign up and go through the 10 days. If you want to redo the challenge at any time, you may sign up and go through it again. Join me for 10 days of intermittent fasting to lower your insulin resistance and improve your health.
I will be fasting one 24 hour day each week (supper to supper) and at least two 18 hour day (supper to lunch) each week. If you have never fasted before I recommend starting off with 14-16 hour fasts. But there is not one schedule so you will be able to figure out something that works for you over those 10 days.
This challenge will give you support and information, so you can conduct your fast in a healthy and effective manner. You will learn the following:
- how to fast
- how to deal with hunger cravings.
- the relationship of fat to successful fasting
- the relationship of insulin resistance to fasting
- the effects of fasting on your metabolism
This is not for everyone. If you are pregnant, nursing a child, 18 or younger, or underweight you should not be in this group. If you take medications and especially if you are on insulin, you need to check with your medical doctor before taking this challenge.
